Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, December 13, 1888 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - South Richland District - Died on December 5th, 1888, at his home, James Lacy, aged 59 years. A life spent in usefulness, full of care and toil, not devoid of joy, was yielded up to Him who gave it. The past few years of his life has been full of sickness and suffering, but still family clung to him for they dearly loved him and their affections were returned threefold. In his death the wife loses her dearest earthly friend, and the children an indulgent and loving father. Funeral services were held at his late home, and were well attended by friends and neighbors. Rev. Father Varrily conducted the services which were solemn and very impressive. The remains were interred in Pulaski cemetery. Lawrence Lacy, a son, and Mary, a married daughter who reside in some far Western State, were not here.
