    • Charlotte Bunn Morton - October 23, 1812 - February 23, 1904. Daughter of John and Betsy Cain Bunn. Wife of Solomon Morton. Section 3, Row 20.
      Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, March 9, 1904 Mexico Independent - Mexico, New York - Mrs. Charlotte Morton, mother of Alonzo and William Morton, died February 23d, 1904 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Dyer Waters, of North Mexico, aged 92 years. Mrs. Morton was the eldest of a family of nine children, four of whom survive her, Mrs. Sarah Cane of this village, Mrs. Andrew Mosher of Texas, Mr. Henry Bunn of Elk Rapids, Michigan, and Mr. Casper Bunn of Pulaski. Her parents were among the first settlers at Selkirk, and she had witnessed great changes. She lived to see the fifth generation, which is very unusual. For five years she had been most tenderly cared for by her daughter and while her bodily strength failed, she retained her mental powers to the last. A devout Christian, she was ready for the call of the Master to "Come up higher." She was very highly esteemed by all who knew her. Mrs. Morton was an aunt of Mrs. George McDonald of this village.
