- ALLEN, David, b. July 16, 1846, Almond, NY. He was a Private in the Regiment 1, NY Cavalry. He enlisted on September 21, 1863 for 3 years, and mustered in on Oct 1863, bounty $75. His parents were Wessen ALLEN and Sally Ann STEWART, his previous occupation was farming. He was discharged on July 25, 1865. He was taken prisoner on May 21, 1863 and placed in Andersonville prison. He was released on parole Dec 21, 1863, for four months and then exchanged. He is buried in Woodlawn Cemetery. His address was Almond, NY. Pages 30 and 31.
