      Newspaper Obituary - Friday, June 25, 1956 The Palladium Times - Oswego, New York - Pulaski - Alonzo J. Morton, 95, Selkirk, one of the oldest residents of this area and a member of a pioneer family, died Thursday at the Dowling nursing home, where he had been a patient since April. He had been in failing health for several years. He was born in the Town of Richland on August 11, 1861, the son of William and Arvilla Wright Morton. He had always lived in this vicinity, and had engaged in fishing. At one time was a watchman at the Selkirk Shores State Park. Surviving are two nieces, Mrs. Ethel Stafford, Pulaski; and Mrs. Harriet Allen, Sandy Creek; and a nephew, Glen Morton, DelRay Beach, Florida. Funeral services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. from the Foster funeral home with burial in Daysville cemetery. Friends may call Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m.
