      Newspaper Obituary - Monday, October 8, 2007 Syracuse Post Standard - Syracuse, New York - October 6, 2007 Cecile Morton Gordon, 94, of Liverpool, died Saturday at Birchwood Health Care Center, Liverpool, New York. Born in Mexico, New York, she was past president cif the North Central New York Conference United Methodist Women, a member of Liverpool United Methodist Church, where she was director of Christian education for many years, and a member of the Liverpool Historical Society and P.E.O. Sorority. She was predeceased by her husband, Rev. Herbert J. Gordon, in 1996, who was former associate pastor of Liverpool United Methodist Church. Surviving are a daughter, Maxene (Rev. Paul) Mills of Horseheads, New York; a son, James M. (Donna) Gordon of Seneca, South Carolina; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 10, 2007, at Liverpool United Methodist Church, 604 Oswego St., Liverpool. Burial will follow at 3 p.m. in Daysville Cemetery, Pulaski. Calling hours are 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, October 9, 2007, at Maurer Funeral Home, 300 Second St., Liverpool. Contributions, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the Memorial Fund of Liverpool United Methodist Church at the above address.
