Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, November 26, 1975 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Frank Sanderson of Orwell succumbs - Frank E. Sanderson, Sr., 63, of Orwell died on Thursday, November 20 at the House of the Good Samaritan Hospital, Watertown, where he had been a patient for nine days. Mr. Sanderson was born on April 26, 1912 in the Town of Richland, the son of Frank and Angie Cleveland Sanderson. He attended Pulaski Academy and was married to Lucy M. Potter in 1933 at Richland. The couple lived at Rome, N.Y. before moving to Orwell. Mr. Sanderson was employed by Niagara Mohawk Power Corp. as a maintenance foreman from 1945 until he retired in 1972. He was a member of Niagara Mohawk's 25 Year Club and was a member of the Orwell Union Church. He was a past member of the Orwell Odd Fellows Lodge and the Orwell Fire Department. In the November elections this year, he was elected to a two-year term as assessor in the Town of Orwell. Surviving besides his wife are: three sons, Frank E., Jr. and James E. of Pulaski and Larry G. of Altmar; two daughters, Mrs. David [Judith] Daugherty of Orwell and Miss Cindy Sanderson at home; four brothers, James, Lynn and Harrison of Pulaski and John of Richland and eight grandchildren. Funeral services were held on Saturday, November 22 at 2 p.m. at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski with the Rev. Ivan Greenfield officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Orwell.
