    • Served in the Revolutionary War under General Knox. According to his obituary he went with major Lilley after the surrender to Philadelphia. He was discharged by George Washington, and sent by him to deliver to Boston, Massachusetts $760 in gold along with a gold watch, a horse with a saddle, bridle. His descendants recounted this was to go to Lafayette himself.
