      Helen L. Blount, 85, of Lacona, died November 16, 2009 at her home. Born March 27, 1924 in the Town of Sandy Creek, the daughter of Earl and Edna Tanner Salisbury. She was educated in Sandy Creek School. Married, May 15, 1941 to T. Richard Blount at Richland. Mr. Blount died April 2, 2005.

      Survived by two daughters and their husbands, Bonita and David Rubenstein of Mt. Tremper and Diane and James Casey of Sandy Creek; six sons and four daughters-in-law, Leslie and Laurette of Orwell, Jerrold and Michele of Jacksonville, FL, Raymond and Kathleen of Watsonsville, CA, Daniel and his companion, Shelia Cobb of Lacona, John of Lacona, James and Cheryl of Lacona; 17 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Kenneth Salisbury of Lacona and William "Bill" Salisbury of Jasper, FL; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by two sisters, Arlene Kendell and Margaret Sprague; five brothers, Walter, Roy, David, Hollis and Harold; and an infant son, Wayne Leland Blount.

      Funeral Services: 11 a.m. Thursday, Summerville Funeral Home, Sandy Creek. Rev. Brian Snyder officiating. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery.
