    • Obituary of Russell Marshall

      Russell Marshall, age 88, resident of Orwell since 1958, passed away Saturday at Crouse Hospital in Syracuse. Born September 17, 1930 in Ira, NY, the son of Edgar and Helen Hay Marshall, Russell graduated from Cato-Meridian High School in 1948 and served in the United States Army from 1951 until 1953. He married Myra Lou Potter (d. 2007) of Orwell in 1955 and together they had seven children. Russell owned and operated a dairy farm on Waggoner Road and was also employed by General Electric, Sandy Creek School district, and Potter Trash.

      He is survived by children Sandra Levack, Thomas (Valerie) Marshall, Donna (Keith) Miller, Karen Wilber, Janet (Jonathan) Rudd, Douglas (Donna) Marshall, and Catherine (David) Hubbard. Russell also has 25 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.

      Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, August 21st at Vorea Community Church, 12 Waggoner Road, Orwell, with internment in Orwell Evergreen Cemetery. Calling hours are from 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, August 20th at Vorea Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Vorea Community Church mission’s fund. Arrangements by Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski.
