      Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, October 13, 1897 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Died, In this village, Monday, October 9th, Electa Bumpus, nearly 84 years of age. Electa Cross Bumpus was born at Buena Vista, Oswego county, February 20, 1814. She was daughter of Molton Cross. October 22nd, 1842, she was married to Thomas J. Bumpus. She is survived by one son, M. D. Bumpus, of this village, and Harry M. and Thomas J. Bumpus, grandsons. Funeral services were held from her late residence on North street, Monday, Rev. Robert Paul officiating. Thus passes away one of the oldest residents of the place and a person who has been well known here for many years.
