      James David Johnson , 50, of Franklin, Mass.,died Friday at home.
      Born in Oswego, he lived in Franklin 18 years. He was a graduate of the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, Kings Point, and Clark University, Worcester, Mass. He received a master's degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He was director of construction with Iron Mountain, Boston, and previously worked for Dimeo Construction, Providence, R.I., Stone & Webster Engineering Corp., Boston, and Digital Equipment Corp., Maynard, Mass. He was a member of St. Mary's Church, Franklin, and the Parish Council.
      Survivors: His wife, the former Judith Hughes; two daughters, Rachel Johnson and Jessica Johnson , both of Franklin; his parents, Avery and Mary Bumpus Johnson of Oswego; four sisters, Elaine Croucher, Nancy Kraus, Marcia Farrell and Dolores Wills, all of Oswego; three brothers, David and Robert, both of Oswego, and Dan of Eagle, Colo.
      Services: 8:15 a.m. Monday at Ginley Funeral Home and 9 a.m. in St. Mary's Church. Burial, St. Mary's Cemetery, Franklin.
