Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, September 21, 1933 Mexico Independent - Mexico, New York - Mrs. Ada Stewart Landphere, age 50, a resident of the town of Mexico for 30 years, died Monday at her home on the Lake road at North Mexico, following an illness of three years. Mrs. Landphere had been confined to her bed for the past year. She was born at Frankfort, New York, June 17, 1883, daughter of Albert and Frances Rushmer Stewart. She was a member of North Mexico Methodist Episcopal church. Besides her husband, Milton Landphere, she leaves a son Clifford Lodge, of Texas, New York; a daughter, Mrs. Edward Frey, of Syracuse; two grandchildren; her father, Albert Stewart, who is critically ill at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Etta Dyke, at Texas; a sister, Mrs. Dyke. Private services will be conducted from her late home at Texas this Thursday afternoon at two o'clock with Rev. B. L. Waters, pastor of the First Methodist Episcopal Church officiating. The bearers will be Adam Weller, Arthur Bauck, Seegar and Frank Stewart. Interment will be in the Daysville cemetery.
