- November 21, 1896 - Dean O. Knowlton, age 84 years, Married, born in Lenox, Madison County, New York, Resident of Richland Township for 5 months, Son of E. Knowlton of Massachusetts, died in Pulaski of heart disease, old age and general disability.
Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, November 25, 1896 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - After a lingering illness, Dean O. Knowlton, on Park street, Saturday night. Mr. Knowlton was eighty-four years old. He was born in Cazenovia. In 1841 he came to this village and engaged in the distillery business and later turned his attention to other branches of industry, including at one time, book-board making and wool carding. He moved to New Jersey about thirty years ago where he lived one year when he moved to Syracuse where he settled and lived until last spring when he moved to this village. Mr. Knowlton for his first wife married Miss Wood, sister of Mr. D. P. Wood, of Syracuse; his surviving life was a daughter of Col. Ehle, of Cazenovia. The funeral was held yesterday and interment will take place in Cazenovia today.
