- Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday Evening, February 14, 1951 - Daily Sentinel - Rome, Oneida Co., New York - Richard Colvin - Dies in Eaton - ONEIDA - Injuries received four years ago in an automobile accident led to the death yesterday at a convalescent home in Eaton of Richard Colvin, 43, son of Ms. Emma Eddy Colvin, Five Corners, and the late Charles Colvin. In the accident, Colvin suffered a broken neck, followed by paralysis. He had received treatment in Syracuse, New York and local hospitals,. Born in Sherburne, March 10, 1907, he was a plumber's helper.Surviving are his mother; eight sisters, Mrs. Leonard M. Evans, Mrs. Stanley Morgan, Mrs. Laura Miller, Mrs. Louis Block, Mrs. James Moyer, Mrs. Stewart Hubbard, Mrs. Howard Cross, Mrs. Curtiss DeVaul; a brother, Fayette Colvin, all of this city; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
