- Newspaper Obituary - May 25, 1990 Watertown Daily Times - LINDA MOORE RITES SET SATURDAY - The funeral service for Linda E. Moore, 47, Hamburg, a native of Sandy Creek, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Patrick's Church, Jordan. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Skaneateles. Mrs. Moore was one of two people killed Thursday morning in a shooting incident at a truck stop on the New York State Thruway in Hamburg. Also killed was Dennis Plucar, 39, Conroy, Iowa, a truck driver. Mrs. Moore was working as a sales clerk at the truck stop when the shooting occurred. Calling hours will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Robert D. Gray Funeral Home, 49 Jordan St., Skaneateles. Contributions may be made to the Jordan Ambulance Fund. Surviving are her husband, Michael L., Jordan; a son, Joseph M., Kansas City, Mo.; four daughters, Debra E. Wingood, Central Square, Judith E. and Brenda L. Moore, both of Jordan, and Laura A. Moore; three grandchildren; three sisters, Marie Dempster, Syracuse, Juanita Gentner, Memphis, and Yolanda Counterman, Liverpool; several nieces and nephews. Born in Sandy Creek, the daughter of the late Lyle and Madeline Ridgeway, she lived in Jordan several years before moving to Hamburg. She was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church, Jordan, and a member of the Elbridge Democratic Club.
