    • Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, February 28, 1963 Mexico Independent - Mexico, New York - Mexico - George McLaughlin, 63, of Mexico RD 1, died Thursday, February 21 at his home after a heart attack suffered while shoveling snow. A native of Pulaski, he was born December 9, 1899, a son of Joseph and Carrie Wood McLaughlin. He was employed by D. W. Winkleman Construction Company of Syracuse. He married Miss Julia Britton in the Pulaski Methodist parsonage on September 1, 1928. Surviving are his wife, Julia Britton McLaughlin; three daughters, Mrs. Carl (Caroline) Peters of Pulaski, Mrs. Leon (Janet) Osuchowski and Mrs. Clarence (Sally) Blunt, both of Mexico; a son, William McLaughlin, 14, at home; a sister, Mrs. Lee Thomas of South Bend and four grandchildren. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Foster Funeral Home, the Rev. George Butler, formerly pastor of Fernwood Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Richland Cemetery.
