    • Died at Altmar, N.Y., Wednesday, Jan. 23, 1929, Mrs. Frances Sheeley Whitney, wife of Destine R. Whitney.

      Mrs. Whitney was born in the town of Albion, the daughter of the late Jerome and Charlotte Potter Sheeley.

      Most of her life was spent in Altmar and vicinity. She is survived by her husband and one daughter, Mrs. Jerry Mattison, and three grandchildren of Altmar, three brothers, William and Bern Sheeley of Hartford, Conn., and Frank Sheeley of Syracuse, and two sisters, Mrs. Morrison of Altmar, and the other living in Hartford, Conn. Funeral services conducted by Rev. G. M. Sleeman consisted of a prayer at her late home at noon on Saturday with services at the M.E. church at 1 o'clock. The remains were placed in the receiving vault at Riverside Cemetery where interment will be made later. The bearers were George Claflin, Alfred Waggoner, Walter Prouty and George E. Field.
