    • Obituary - Robert M. Fravor, age 86, life resident of Sandy Pond and Pulaski passed away Tuesday at Oswego Hospital. Robert was born May 4, 1930 in Pulaski, the son of George and Lena Frye Fravor. He graduated from Pulaski Academy and Central School in 1948. After graduation he enlisted in the Untied States Navy serving from 1948 until 1952. Robert married Sally Greenwood on August 30, 1958, and in 1959 they purchased a home at Sandy Pond where for many years they raised strawberries. During those years he worked at the Corse Press and the Post Standard. He retired in 1995 from the USPS where he was a rural carrier for 31 years. He was active in the Coast Guard Auxiliary, the Oswego County Trappers Association and the Stavemill Sportsman Association. Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Sally, three sons Todd (Jodi) of South Carolina, Dale (Barbara) of Hannibal, NY, and Trevor of Saranac Lake, NY, grandchildren, Evin and Bradley Fravor, Geoffrey and Garrett Fravor, and Autumn and Gabriel Fravor, a brother Clarence Fravor and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his oldest son, Jeffery in 1982 and his two sisters Arlene Vrooman and Marge Pacific. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, February 4, at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski with a spring burial in Pulaski Cemetery. Calling hours will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the funeral.
