- Newspaper Obituary - February 15, 2007 Post Standard - MOORE - Michael Louis Moore February 13, 2007 - Our beloved Michael Louis Moore, 73, a lifelong resident of Valley Drive, Jordan, New York, died unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, February 13. Michael was the son of the late Michael and Mary Moore. He was baptized, confirmed, married and a lifetime communicant of St. Patrick's Church in Jordan and now joins his loving bride, Linda, who predeceased him in May 1990. He spent most of his working career at Jordan Wire Mill and finally Welch Allyn where he retired after serving for 25 years. As a devoted husband and loving father, his activities revolved around his family and included various youth group activities and volunteer Little League and softball coaching. Michael also served his community for many years as a volunteer fireman. He is survived by his family who will always cherish his memory: his children, Debra Wingood of Central Square, Laura Quigley of West Orange, New Jersey, Joseph Moore of Tully , Judith Ducayne of Auburn and Brenda Gangemi of Westvale; and his 14 grandchildren. Friends of the family are invited to call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Robert D. Gray Funeral Home, 49 Jordan Street, Skaneateles and to attend a Roman Catholic Funeral Mass at St. Patrick's Church, 28 N. Main Street, Jordan Saturday at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that masses be said at any Catholic Church for the repose of Michael's soul.
