- Obituary - Darla Moyer, age 60, formerly of Adams, passed away unexpectedly Saturday morning, October 21, 2017 at a rehabilitation center in Rome, where she was recovering from neck surgery. Darla was born November 6, 1956 in Oswego to Frederick and Bertha Stewart Moyer. She spent most of her youth in Sandy Pond and she attended Sandy Creek Central School. She was never married but spent her life in Adams with her long-term significant other and friend, John Devoy. Darla worked many jobs during her life, but her favorite was as a cook for the Meals on Wheels program at the Rohde Center in Adams. Darla was a kind free-loving soul. She loved music, dancing, animals, games, cooking and bingo. Surviving are her two children, Mark (Debbie) Wallis of Adams and Renee (Joe) Wallis of Ellisburg, three grandchildren, Daron, Zoey and Logan, two brothers, Louis (Trudy) Moyer of Lacona and Gary Moyer of Brewerton, three sisters, Penny (Barry) Cummings of Rome, Glorie Moyer of Buffalo and Mandie Moyer of Buffalo and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, November 4th at Richland Cemetery, County Route 2, Richland, NY. Arrangements by Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski, NY.
