    • Online Obituary - ONEIDA CASTLE - Shirley E. Maycock, 96, West Fifth Street, died Tuesday, March 10, 2015, in St. Luke's Hospital, New Hartford, where she had been a medical patient for the past three days. Born in Oneida, on Aug. 17, 1918, she was the daughter of Reginald and Ismay Colvin Morgan. A lifelong resident of the Oneida area, Shirley was educated in Oneida schools and was a graduate of the Oneida High School, Class of 1936 and the Central City Business Institute. She married Lyle W. Maycock in Oneida on July 3, 1938. Lyle died on Feb. 5, 2008. Prior to her retirement in 1981, Shirley was a partner and bookkeeper with her husband in the ownership and operation of Maycock and Evans, Inc. She was a member and former deacon of the First Presbyterian Church of Oneida where she served on the Christmas Bazaar Committee, a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Oneida Chapter No. 21 and the Belles and Beaux Square Dance Club. Surviving are five daughters and four sons-in-law, Lorna Klein of Albany, Sandra and Dennis Doran of Oneida, Pamela and Richard Campbell of Vernon Center, Sheryl and Joseph Campanie of Verona Beach and Jenifer and Richard Colvin of Oneida; 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, from the First Presbyterian Church of Oneida, Stone at Broad Streets, Oneida with the Rev. Stuart Wattles, pastor, officiating. Spring interment will be made in the Glenwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the Campbell-Dean Funeral Home, Inc., 260 Main St., Oneida, 5-7 p.m., Friday.
