- Newspaper Obituary - July 16, 1953 Pulaski Democrat - Former Resident Dies in Oneida - Mrs. Eva Colvin, 78, widow of James Colvin, died last Friday(July 10, 1953) at her home in Oneida, following an illness of several weeks. Funeral services were conducted in Oneida at the Whitford Funeral Home with burial in richland cemetery on Monday afternoon. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Emma Colvin of Oneida. Mr. and Mrs. Colvin and Mr. and Mrs. Orrin Deshane were for many years residents of this vicinity living on the Ridge Rd, owning the farm now known as the Leon Tousley farm.
Newspaper Obituary - Sunday, July 12, 1953 Syracuse Herald-American - Syracuse, New York - ONEIDA -- Funeral services for Mrs. Eva May Colvin, 78, of Five Corners, will be held at the Whitford Funeral Home at 1 P.M. Monday with the Rev. James J. Morely, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in Richland. Friends may call at the funeral home today from 3 to 5 P.M. and 7 to 9 P.M. Mrs. Colvin, the widow of James Colvin, died Friday night at her home. Born in the town of Albion, May 16, 1875, she was the daughter of Thomas J. and Sarah McKinstry Eddy. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Emma Colvin, Oneida; a brother-in-law, Orin De Shane [sic], Five Corners, with whom she made her home, and several nieces and nephews."
