    • Newspaper Obituary - December 19, 1957 Sandy Creek News - Sandy Creek, New York - George Stewart Dies December 15 - George Dixon Stewart, 63, a resident of Ellisburg for twelve years, died December 15, 1957 at his home. He suffered from a heart ailment. Mr. Stewart was born July 28, 1894 at Richland, a son of the late Cyrus and Elizabeth Stewart. He attended Richland and Pulaski schools and spent part of his early life at Sandy Creek. On July 19, 1933 he married Miss Mildred Dana of Sandy Creek, who survives him. He also leaves two sons, Paul and Peter, at home; five daughters, Mrs. Jane Thomas of Manhattan, Kansas and Diane, Nancy, Susan and Bonnie, all at home; three brothers, Milton of Sandy Creek; Thomas of Fabius, and Ivan of Constantia; two sisters, Mrs. Fred Butterworth, Pulaski and Mrs. Clara Walker, Syracuse. The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon at 2 in the Weston and Woodard funeral home at Sandy Creek, Rev. Frank Morey, pastor of Mannsville Methodist church, officiated. Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery in the spring.
