- Alice Adelle Dale Hale Zufelt - died December 9, 1916, age 67 years. Plot A-61. Daughter of George and Mary Antoinette Hamilton Dale. Wife of Irving Hale (married April 20, 1877) & Anson Jay Zufelt (married November 2, 1905 at Welland, Ontario, Canada.) [Note: Anson Jay Zufelt died March 10, 1928 at Tonawanda, New York and is buried in Elmlawn Memorial Park at Kenmore, Erie County, New York.]
Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, December 13, 1916 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Mrs. Jay Zufelt Dies in Syracuse - Early Saturday morning, Mrs. Alice Adel Dale, wife of Jay Zufelt, departed this life, which to her had been full of suffering for many months, at the home of her son, Carrol Hale in Syracuse, where she went a few weeks ago accompanied by Mr. Zufelt. She was born in this village sixty seven years ago, being the daughter of William and Antoinette Dale. Mr. Dale died when deceased was a young child, leaving the mother and six children. Mrs. Dale became the wife of Royal Seamans of Albion who had a family of ten children and from this union two more children came in to the family. Mrs. Zufelt is the last of the mother’s family and of the original ten in the Seamans family, only three remain. Mrs. Zufelt fitted herself for a teacher and taught district school for a time. She has spent most of her life in this vicinity, living in this village the last year and a half. She was a member of the Methodist church. The remains arrived in Pulaski, Monday, and funeral services were held at the Methodist church at two o’clock in the afternoon, Rev. A. P. Palmer officiating. She is survived by her husband and a son, a half-brother and half-sister, Albert S. Seamans of Altmar and Mrs. F. H. Soule of Clinton, Connecticut.
