- Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, August 17, 1898 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Orwell - Annie, beloved wife of William W. West, of Oswego Town, died Saturday, August 6. Mrs. West was born in the town of Orwell, thirty-three years ago, and sixteen years ago she went to Oswego Town, a fair young bride. By her kindly disposition and sterling worth, she endeared herself to all who were fortunate enough to know her. One week ago she was stricken with a severe attack of bilious fever which terminated in death on Saturday. She leaves to mourn her early death, her husband, a daughter, an infant son, an aged grandmother and an only deaf mute brother, William Stearns, of Erieville. Her funeral was held last Monday at 2:30 at the residence of William W. West. Rev. T. B. Shepherd, of Minetto, performed the services and preached a very impressive sermon. The interment was made at Lewis cemetery. Those from out of town who attended the funeral were Albert Woolever, of Pulaski, and William A. Stearns and wife, of Erieville. The attendance was very large.
