Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, August 14, 1929 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Daysville - The funeral of Gilbert Robbins who died Friday night after quite a long illness, was held at his late home on Monday at 2 p.m. Burial in Willis cemetery.
Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, August 15, 1929 Sandy Creek News - Sandy Creek, New York - The death of Gilbert L. Robbins, 62 years old, occurred Friday night at 11:35 o'clock at his home near Daysville, following an illness of about three months. The deceased was a successful farmer and served in the U. S. life saving service for 13 years. He was born May 11,1867, in Richland, the son of James and Mary Robbins. Mr. Robbins resided in Richland until he was about 20 years old, when he joined the U. S. Life Saving Service and served at the Oswego and Ashtabula, Ohio, stations until about 24 years ago when he bought the farm on. which he died. He was a member of Pulaski Lodge, F. and A. M., and also Daysville Grange. His wife, Mary Frances Cahill, died November 11, 1927. He is, survived by a son, who has been employed by the Woolworth Company In St. Johnsbury, but gave up his position to care for his sick father. The funeral was held at his home Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. Charles Bollinger of Watertown, former pastor of the Pulaski Methodist church, officiated. Burial was made in Willis cemetery.
