      Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, November 10, 1920 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Clayton E. Seamans - The death of Clayton E. Seamans occurred at Willard State Hospital, Monday, following an illness in that institution of less than three weeks. Mr. Seamans was born in Adams, New York, October 19, 1859. When a very young child he came with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George W. Seamans, to reside in Seamans District, Albion. He attended the Seamans school and also Sandy Creek High School. He took a course in Utica Business school, was engaged in a store at Copenhagen, as clerk, traveled as salesman and was also engaged in various other lines of work. He was subscription solicitor for the Watertown Times for seven years leaving that concern to take work for the New York Civic League, three years ago and has been with the League since that date. He was in Buffalo when his health gave out and his mind became impaired. Deceased was a member of Orient Lodge, F. & A.M., of Copenhagen; Pulaski Chapter, R.A.M. and Andrew S. Warner Camp Sons of Veterans. He is survived by one brother, Byron G. Seamans. of Pulaski and two sisters, Mrs. Minnie S. Peck, of Syracuse and Mrs. M. Clarritta Parker, of San Fernando, California. Undertaker John Maguire went to Willard, yesterday, accompanied by Mrs. Peck, and will return with the body, today, which will be taken to the home of his brother and funeral services will be held in the Methodist church at two o'clock, tomorrow. The Masonic rites will be performed. Rev. Charles T. Holcombe will conduct the service. Burial will be made in Pulaski cemetery.
