Military Service: Veteran of the Civil War; Enlisted August 27, 1864 at Palermo, New York; Mustered in September 16, 1864 as a Private in Company I, 184th Regiment New York Volunteer Infantry; Mustered out June 29, 1865 with Company at City Point, Virginia. Son of Elisha and Charlotte Nash Burr. Husband of Maria Valentine Burr.
Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, May 12, 1920 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Adelbert H. Burr - Following a shock, Monday, death came and relieved veteran Adelbert H. Burr, of this village, yesterday morning. Mr. Burr had recently moved to his new home, James Street, where he was passing a quiet life with his daughter, Miss Harriet Burr. Mr. Burr was born in Ellisburg, January 6, 1844. He came to this town many years ago to live. He served in Company I, 184th Regiment. He was a member of J. B. Butler Post, G.A.R., and Pulaski Lodge, F. & A.M. Mrs. Burr died a few months ago. He is survived by two sons, Frank W., of Atlanta, Georgia, and Harry of this place; one daughter, Harriet; two brothers, A. N. Burr and I. L. Burr, of this place. Funeral services. Friday at 2 p.m. at the house.
