Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, April 1, 1886 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Died in this town, March 24, 1886, Clement Wallace, aged 77 years. The funeral was held from his late residence, two miles south of Pulaski on Sunday last, Rev. S. E. Brown, pastor of the M. E. Church, presiding. Mr. Wallace was born in Hoosac, Rensselaer County, New York, and when a child, lived with his parents in Sandy Creek. He lived for seventy years in this county and for fifty-two years in this town. He was twice married. His first wife, Betsey Valentine, died some twelve years since. His second wife, Harriet Prouty survives him, together with the three children of his first wife, Mrs. John Davison, Mrs. O. B. Miller and Hollister Wallace. The remains of this good and kind man, whom all of his acquaintances held in high esteem, were deposited in Pulaski Cemetery.
