Newspaper Obituary - Friday, June 1, 1990 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - Clinton A. Balch, Richland, Dies at Age 56 - Clinton Balch, 56, County Route 48, died Thursday at Oswego Hospital. He had suffered from muscular dystrophy for some time. The funeral will be at 10 am. Monday at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski, with the Rev. Virgil H. Hager officiating. Burial will be in Richland Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. He is survived by his wife, Shirley A.; a son, William A., Richland; a stepson, David Bennett, Vero Beach, Florida; two stepdaughters, Sharon Knapp, Norwich, and Linda Bennett, Vero Beach; a granddaughter, and a sister, Florence Gerdon, Richland. Born May 27, 1934, in Rome, son of Clinton and Ellen Widrig Balch, he attended Pulaski district schools and served in the Army from 1953 to 1957. He had lived in Richland since 1979. Mr. Balch married Shirley Woolever June 23, 1970. He was employed by Crouse Hinds, Syracuse, for several years. He was a member of the Pulaski Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7289.
