Frederick D. Dawley - October 22, 1937 - July 8, 2014) - Frederick “Bud” D. Dawley, age 76, resident of Fulton, passed away Tuesday at Morningstar Care Center in Oswego. He was a resident of Fulton for the past 16 years, and had previously lived in Phoenix for 28 years, and Pulaski prior to that. He was born October 22, 1937 in Pulaski, the son of Winfred and Marie Mangus Dawley. He graduated from Pulaski High School in 1955. Frederick served in the United States Army from 1956 until 1957. He married Joann “Cherie” Littler on August 27, 1966. He was employed by P&C Food Markets for 31 years, retiring in 1997. He was previously employed by NYS Department of Transportation. Frederick was member of Teamsters Local #317 of Syracuse and the Fulton VFW. Surviving are his wife Joann “Cherie” Dawley of Fulton, two daughters, Traci (Charlie) Fitch of Macedon and Lori (Michael) Dawley Fields of Brewerton, three grandchildren, Carlie Fields and Jessie Pickreign, and Caleb Fitch, and two great-grandsons, Dominic and Leilenn Backes. Frederick was predeceased by his parents and one stepson, Scott Petrie who passed away in 2000. A Memorial Service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski, with burial at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. prior to the service.
