Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, March 17, 1949 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Last Rites Held for Mrs. Nellie Burr, 80 - Mrs. Nellie Hinman Burr, 80, widow of the late John Burr, died at her home in Church Street, Saturday afternoon at about 5 o'clock, following an illness of several weeks. Funeral services were conducted from the Foster Funeral Home in Park Street Tuesday at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Daniel Fowler, pastor of the Congregational church, officiating. Burial was made in the Pulaski Cemetery. Mrs. Burr is survived by her sister, Miss Florence Hinman, with whom she has made her home, and two nephews, Elwin Poole, of Freeport, Long Island, and Leo Hinman of Ithaca. She was born in the Hinman district January 1, 1869, the daughter of William and Frances Lester Hinman, and has spent all her life in Pulaski. She was married to Mr. Burr in 1906, whose death occurred in 1909. Since that time, she and her sister, have maintained a home together, coming to their present location in Pulaski from the Hinman district in 1910.
