- Charlie was the son of Christian Joss and Rose Eichenberger. He was a farmer all his life, also working at Onondaga Pottery Company, aka Syracuse China, from 1941 to 1968.
Obituary:
Charles Joss, 76, of 308 Hamilton Road, North Syracuse died yesterday at his home after a short illness. A life resident of the Town of Cicero, he retired from Onondaga Pottery seven months ago. He had worked there 27 years. He was a member of the North Central Church of the Assembly of God. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Pauline Joss; a daughter, Mrs. Helen Hansen of Baldwinsville; three sons, Fritz of North Syracuse, Edison of Pulaski, and Otto Joss of Lacona; 21 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Ida Schader of Baldwinsville. Private services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Fergerson Funeral Home, 215 S. Main
St., North Syracuse, the Rev. Leon L. Miles officiating. Burial will be in North Syracuse Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Contributions may be made to the North Central Church of the Assembly of God building fund.
