- Frank H. Scranton, 71, Arlington Hotel, died yesterday in a Rome Hospital, where he had been a patient for 17 days. Mr. Scranton was born May 18, 1884, in Parish, a son of Henry A. and Elizabeth Coffee Scranton. He was educated in Dugway, NY schools, later living in Pulaski and Sandy Creek. He was employed at Griffiss AFB as a blacksmith in 1941-45. On Sept. 29, 1909, in Sandy Creek, he married Nettie Crouse, who survives. He also leaves a son, Henry R. Scranton, 89 Central Ave., Air City; a grandson, Charles R. Scranton, and a nephew. The funeral will be held tomorrow at 2 pm at the Weston and Woodard Funeral Home, Sandy Creek, with the Rev. Leland Webster of the Sandy Creek Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in the Dugway Cemetery.
