- Wedding Announcement:
At the Congregational manse, Sandy Creek, March 12, 1931, by Rev. T.T. Davies, Allen Ridgeway and Merle Mead, both of Lacona, were united in holy matrimony. The beautiful ring service was in evidence by which they pledged their abiding faith and constant love. They were accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. James Ridgeway. Their many friends extend congratulations and good wishes.
Obituary, Oct. 1984: Lived at 8247 Salisbury St., Lacona--Died at her home--attended local schools--Was employed at the apron factory in Pulaski and SC Central School Cafeteria. Also did laundry for local resident--Member and past district deputy of Mistletoe Rebekah Lodge 248 Lacona. Member of SC Grange 127--Wednesday Club and Sandy Creek Orwell Senior citizens. Survivors--daughter, Mrs. Warren (Shirley) Stowell and Loretta Ridgeway a son Earl--three sisters, Mrs. James (Evelyn) Ridgeway, Mrs. Clayton (Emma) Yerdon and Mrs. Raymond (Alice) Dann--a brother Harwood Mead--4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren--several nieces and nephews--A son Ronald died in infancy as well as a sister, Mrs. Minnie Rosen who died prior to 1984. Services at Summerville Funeral Home with Warren D. Babcock pastor of Pilgrim Holiness Church Pierrepont Manor officating. Burial in the Wesleyan cemetery. Contributions may be made in her name to the Northern Oswego County Ambulance, Box 113 Pulaski, NY or the American Cancer Society.
