Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, October 11, 1905 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Thursday morning, October 5, occurred the death of Mrs. Anne Mickel at the home of her son, Jacob H. Mickel, on Maple avenue, where she had been for a few weeks, having previously resided with her daughter, Mrs. Henry Marsden, near Texas, who died a short time since. Mrs. Mickel was born in Cobleskill, New York June 15, 1813, and at the age of seven years came to the town of Richland and has been a resident in this locality for about 75 years, being highly esteemed by her acquaintance. It was a great comfort to her to spend her last days with her only surviving son, who with his wife devotedly cared for the aged mother. Mrs. Mickel possessed a strong faith in God and had no fear of death for she often said "I am the Lord's and he is mine." The funeral was held at the home, Saturday, at 1 o'clock p.m., Rev. S. E. Brown, officiating. Burial at Daysville. Among the friends from out of town who attended were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Mickel, of Syracuse, and Mr. and Mrs. Berton Mickel, of Oswego, grandchildren.
