Newspaper Obituary - Friday, June 22, 2007 Salmon River News - Pulaski, New York - Charles L. Rice, 72, life resident of Pulaski died Saturday, June 16 at his home on County Route 28. He was born March 6, 1935 in Ellisburg, the son of Homer and Margaret Ballou Rice. He attended Altmar schools and married Mary J. Neill on December 24, 1953, she died November 24, 1993. He was employed by Nestles Company in Fulton for 12 years retiring in 1997. He previously was employed by Clinton Ditch in Cicero. He owned and operated the Haunted Forest at Tinker Tavern for 15 years, and owned Northern Archery for five years. He also raced mini-stocks at Brewerton Race Track for several years. Surviving are one son, Timothy C. (Lori) Rice of Pulaski; two daughters, Gail J. (Douglas) Hinman of Palermo, Karen C. Rice of Liverpool; one sister, Linda Sanford of Phoenix, five grandchildren, two great-grandsons. Funeral services were Monday, June 18 at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski with burial in South Richland Cemetery, Fernwood.
