Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, September 12, 1979 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Homer E. Rice, 71, Tinker Tavern Road, died September 3 in the Oswego Hospital where he had been a patient since August 30. Born in Boylston May 7, 1908, to Charles and Gertrude Ridgeway Rice, he married Margaret Bellou November 26, 1934 in Ellisburg. They moved to their present address in 1941 and he worked for the Old Mexico Motor Garage now known as the Pulaski Sales and Service from January 1943 until retiring in June 1973. He had owned and operated his own fruit and vegetable stand, the Hilltop Farm Stand on the Scenic Highway. Surviving are his wife, Margaret and a son, Charles and a daughter, Mrs. Linda Sanford, of Tinker Tavern Road, Pulaski; five grandchildren, a brother, John of Maple View and a sister, Luella Warner of Baldwinsville. Services were held Thursday at 2 p.m. in Foster-Hax Funeral Home. Rev. Roger Crassi officiated. Burial was in South Richland Cemetery.
