- MARION E. BENNETT, PINEVILLE, DIES AT AGE 82

Marion E. Bennett, 82, Route 13, Pineville, a lifelong resident of the Pineville and Altmar areas and a retired teacher, died Sunday at her home after a long illness.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski. Spring burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Donations may be made to Riverside United Methodist Church or Altmar-Defiance Volunteer Fire Department.
Surviving are her husband, G. Stanley; two sons, Edward S., Parish, and Willis F., Moravia; a daughter, Joyce B. Ezzo, Canastota; four brothers, William Craig, Sandy Pond, Clifford Craig, Central Square, Albert Craig, Pulaski, and Roy Craig, Watertown; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Born Nov. 11, 1913, in Altmar, daughter of Frank and Neva Smith Craig, she was a 1930 graduate of Pulaski Academy, a 1936 graduate of Oswego Normal School and a 1959 graduate of Oswego State University College.
She married G. Stanley Bennett on Aug. 8, 1940. The couple owned and operated a dairy farm for 60 years.
Mrs. Bennett was an elementary school teacher in Pineville and Altmar for 29 years, retiring in 1970.
