      Mrs. Gertrude R. Rice, 82, widow Of Charles W Rice, died Saturday afternoon, September 5, in the Spencer Nursing Home after a long illness. Mrs. Rice was born in Boylston and was a life long resident of this area. She was a member of the Mexico Baptist church.
      Surviving are four sons; Clarence of Parish, John of Maple View, Homer of Pulaski, and Raymond of Fulton, a daughter Luella Warner of Baldwinsville, also 21 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
      Services were held Tuesday Sept 8th in the Gibbs Funeral Home. The Rev. Eleanor Davis, retired Baptist minister, officiated. Burial was in Pleasant Lawn cemetery in Parish.
