Newspaper Obituary - Saturday, October 5, 2002 Syracuse Post-Standard - Syracuse, New York - Regina T. Gibbs, 79, of 3230 Richland Road, Pulaski, died Thursday. Born in Watertown, she graduated from Mannsville High School and Rochester Business Institute. She retired in 1994 as a court clerk for the village of Pulaski and had also worked at Bagley & Sewall and New York Air Brake, both in Watertown, and Pulaski Academy Elementary School. She was a member of Pulaski Congregational Church. Her husband, Herbert, died in 1992. Survivors: A daughter, Annette Pratt of Pulaski; five sons, George C. of West Monroe, Gordon M. of Snellville, Georgia., Clark O. and Andrew S., both of Pulaski, and Mitchell L. of Lacona; two sisters, Wanda Twiss of Watertown and Orda Hayes of Camden; 19 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. Services: 1 p.m. Sunday in Pulaski Congregational Church. Burial, Riverside Cemetery, Pulaski Calling hours, 4 to 7 p.m. today at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park St, Pulaski. Regina T. Gibbs, 79, of 3230 Richland Road, died Thursday at her home.
Mrs. Gibbs was employed by the village of Pulaski as a court clerk until retiring in 1994. She also had been employed by Bagley & Sewall and New York Air Brake Co., both in Watertown, and Pulaski Academy Elementary School.
She was a member of Pulaski Congregational Church.
Born Oct. 2, 1923, in Watertown, daughter of George O. and Cecelia Baker Twiss, she graduated in 1940 from Mannsville High School and later from the Watertown branch of Rochester Business Institute.
She married Herbert "Bing" Gibbs on Feb. 4, 1947. Mr. Gibbs died Aug. 24, 1992.
Surviving are a daughter, Annette Pratt, Pulaski; five sons, George C., West Monroe, Gordon M., Snellville, Ga., Clark O. and Andrew S., both of Pulaski, and Mitchell L., Lacona; two sisters, Wanda Twiss, Watertown, and Orda Hayes, Camden; 19 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Pulaski Congregational Church. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
