      Frank F. Twiss, born 1860, Ellisburg, Jefferson Co., NY, son of Charles & Josephine (Squater) Twiss, married 04/08/1887 Julia Manchester, daughter of Samuel P. & Elizabeth B. (Nutt) Manchester. Julia’s father, Samuel was the driver of the Camden-Florence Stage Coach. Frank worked for the railroad. Frank and Julia had the following children, Charles Samuel b. 1889, Ora Erastus b. 1890, William Homer b. 1892, George Otis b. 1894, Elizabeth b. 1896, Frank F. Jr. b. 1898 and Joseph b. 1901. Ora, William and Frank all served in WWI.
      Charles S. Twiss (1889-1935) had a son George and daughters; Mabel and Olive. George & family lived in Mannsville, NY.
      Ora E. Twiss (08/03/1890-11/18/1962) married June 1914, Addie Stagner (12/15/1896-12/14/1962). The couple resided in Lee before moving to Vernon in 1931. Ora retired in 1956 from General Cable Corporation, where he had worked as a foreman since 1914. Addie died in 1950 and Ora in 1962, buried at Mc Connellsville Cemetery.
      William H. Twiss married Viola B. Houck daughter of Albert Houck of New London, NY. William was a cheese maker at the Kappler Factory at New London. He and Viola had the following children: Caroline b. 1919; Julia b. 1922; William A. b. 1923, served in World War II; Ora A. b.1926, Frank E. b. 1927; and Ruth b. 1929.
      George Otis Twiss b. 1894 operated the Mayflower Cheese Factory, Redfield, Oswego Co., NY, in the 1920’s. He married Celia Parish, they had three daughters; Regina M. b. 1923, Anda A. b. 1926 and Wanda b. 1927.
      Elizabeth married a Giddings.
      Frank F. Twiss (1898-1982), m. 10/27/1930 Genevieve Stanford (1906-1992), they lived in Vernon Center. Children of Frank & Genevieve are: Weldon b. 1932, married Joy Durant; Earl Arthur b. 1933; Patricia b. 1934, married James Dukett; Evelyn b. 1935, Gladys (1936-2010), married Donald Honsinger; and Gerald Duane b. 1941.
      Joseph A. Twiss (08/23/1900-04/1975) married 1928 Eleanor Beatrice Stedman b. 1909 and they had two children Stedman and Joanne, who died at 11 years. Joseph served in the US NAVY during WWI. He retired from F. S. Harden Co. Joseph & Eleanor are buried at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Camden, NY.
      Frank & Julia are buried at Westdale Cemetery.
