- Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, August 30, 1877 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Died - Beadle - In Pulaski, August 25th, 1877, of inflammation of the brain, John, only son of Alfred N. and Frances M. Beadle, aged 3 years, 1 month and 14 days. This affliction brings to the parents the feeling of desolating bereavement in the loss, not merely of their only surviving son, but also of a child of peculiar promise, around whom had already twined clustering hopes for the future. A bright, manly boy, of speech clear and emphatic, he gave rare promise of an active, earnest, resolute manhood. The disease of which he died so far developed itself as to attract attention previously seven days before his death and was accompanied with much suffering. The funeral services held at the house were attended by a large concourse of friends, manifesting their deep sympathy with the afflicted parents in their great sorrow. The remains were deposited in the cemetery in Orwell, on the family ground of the relatives of the father.
