Allen E. Lester, 73, Lester Road, died Sunday at the House of the Good Samaritan, Watertown.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours.
Surviving are his wife, Fern; two sons, Allen Jr., Orwell, and Arthur, Binghamton; four daughters, Elaine VanRy, Ellie Manwaring and Elizabeth Whitcomb, all of Orwell, and Diane Moffet, Boylston; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Born July 11, 1919, in the town of Orwell, a son of Earl and Alice Caster Lester, he graduated from Sandy Creek High School in 1937, and married Fern LaCelle in July 1950.
Mr. Lester was last employed by Matlac Petroleum, Syracuse, for five years, retiring in 1981. He was previously employed by Parish Oil Co. for 16 years.
He was president and a former sexton of Evergreen Cemetery.

Allen E. Lester, 73, of Lester Road died Sunday at the House of the Good Samaritan Hospital, Watertown.
Mr. Lester was president and a former sexton of Evergreen Cemetery, Orwell.
Surviving are his wife, Fern; two sons, Allen Jr. of Orwell and Arthur of Binghamton; four daughters, Elaine VanRy, Ellie Manwaring and Elizabeth Whitcomb, all of Orwell, and Diane Moffet of Boylston; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
