Notes - According to transcripts from US Dept of Int. 1902 decision: Reported her first husband, Arland Marsh deserted her in April, 1859. They were married in Blackstone, MA on Aug 20, 1848. She did hear a rumor after she got married that he had died. They lived in Blackstone with her sister in 1850. Then moved to Fall River, Ma, then Nashua, NH, then finally back to Oswego, NY until they separated. She married Samuel Lester on 7/26/1865.
that marraige was disavowed in 1902, by the Govt. stating she did not use due dillegence to find her first husband Arland Marsh, since was indeed alive.
