Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, February 16, 1888 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Died - In this village, February 9th, 1888, of consumption, William H. Lester, aged 36 years. For about ten years Mr. Lester had been salesman in the furniture store and undertaking rooms of R. W. Box, by whom he was fully trusted and highly regarded. Indeed throughout the entire community he had many warm friends. He was an officer in and an active supporter of Pulaski lodge No. 415, F. & A. M. His funeral, which was held from his late residence on Park Street, was very largely attended, over one hundred masons in regalia being in attendance. Rev. Paul, of St. James's conducted the funeral service of the Episcopal Church and afterwards the remains were taken in charge by the Masonic fraternity. Mrs. Lester, who is thus bereft of a fond husband, and who was so untiring in her care for her husband, is left entirely alone, there being no children. She has the sympathy of the community.
