    • Williamstown, May 18 - David W. Bartlett died at his home a mile and a half south of this village in the town of Amboy, Saturday morning aged 78 years and 7 months. Deceased had been in poor health all winter and during the spring had been confined to his bed, his ailment being kidney trouble and a general breaking down of the system. He is survived by four sons and three daughters; Mrs. Jenkins of Pulaski, William of Ogdensburg, George of California, Walter of Connecticut and Miss Jean and James Bartlett at home. The community sympathize with them in the loss of their father.

Mr. Bartlett was a pleasant agreeable man, who had many friends. He was a veteran of the Civil War and a member of the Grand Army Post. His comrades bore him to his last resting place in Fair View cemetery. He was also a member of Amboy Lodge, F & A. M ., who had their burial service at the grave. The flowers on the casket were most beautiful, a floral emblem from the Masonic order and others being conspicuous. The funeral was held at his late home on Monday at 2 p.m. services being conducted by Rev. F. W. Dunning assisted by Rev. Mr. Towne. A solo, "Beautiful Rose," was rendered by Mrs. W. D.
