      Newspaper Obituary - Monday, February 29, 1960 The Palladium Times - Oswego, New York - Pulaski Obituary - Funeral services for John Atkinson, 78, who died late Friday at the Evergreen Nursing Home, were held today at 2 p.m. at the Taylor funeral home. The Rev. George Butler, Oswego, former pastor of the Fernwood Methodist Church, officiated. Burial will be in Daysville Cemetery in the spring. Mr. Atkinson had been a patient at the nursing home for more than a year. He was born at Daysville on November 21, 1881, the son of William and Asenatha Dean Atkinson. He spent his entire life in that area, where he operated a farm. On January 10, 1903, he married the former Cassie Joyner at Pulaski. She died in October 1951. He was a member of the Fernwood Methodist Church and a former member of Mexico Lodge of I. O. O. F. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. George Wadsworth, Pulaski, and Mrs. Paul Barnard, Orwell; three sons, Kenneth, Carl and Bradford, all of Pulaski; 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
