      Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, September 21, 1950 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - John Stoddard Dies at Fernwood - John Stoddard, 82, died suddenly Friday night at the Clinton Manwaring home in Fernwood, where he had been living. He had been in apparent good health until stricken while sitting in a chair. Funeral services were conducted from the Fernwood Methodist church at 2 p.m. with the Rev. George Potter officiating. Inteiment was made in the Willis cemetery at Fernwood. He had no immediate survivors. Mr. Stoddard was born on the old Stoddard farm in Fernwood, in October, 1867, a son of Samuel and Lucy Stoddard. He had always lived on the farm and had also engaged in the sawmill business.
