- Newspaper Obituary - June 14, 1988 | Post-Standard, The (Syracuse, NY) - JAMES W. ADAMS - James W. Adams, 67, of 6 Avon House, Liverpool, died Monday at his home. A native of Eastwood, Mr. Adams lived in Liverpool 17 years. He retired after 30 years with the New Process Gear Division of Chrysler Corp. Mr. Adams served with the 1st Marine Division during World War II. Surviving are his wife, the former Helen Weaver; two daughters, Rita Wilkinson of Brewerton and Karen Justian of Skaneateles; two sons, Michael of Weedsport and Steven of Roanoke, Va.; 16 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Maurer Funeral Home, Liverpool. Burial will be in Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, 300 Second St. Contributions may be made to the Moyers Corners Fire Department Ambulance Fund.
